"My mom says I'm cool." --Shelagh

Shelagh ( SHAY- lee ) Kristeen McLeod Jackson was born in 1985, in Northern Californa. 21 years later, and she's living in Massachusetts, attending the Hallmark Institute of Photography. In the middle, she did some stuff, a lot of it was rather boring, most of it won't be remembered, but the main stuff that matters to you guys is that she first got interested in photography when she was 11, which is when her mother took a course in wet process photography. Shelagh would model for her mother often, little did she know that it would take her everywhere she wanted to go before the age of 20, and only further after her experience at HIP.

"I loved the smell of the chemicals, the weird, tacky decorations, not so much even looking at peoples pictures, but all the quirky little items hanging around in the darkroom...plus, it had a "space door", and it was soo nice and cool compared to the muggy summer, that darkroom became my best hangout" --Shelagh Jackson

An equally important part would be the way she became a hairstylist. One day, while heading to the Indiana Cosmetology Academy with her mom again, Shelagh was impressed by the level of attention that was paid to the students, since the class was so small, and when the teacher, Mrs. Bright (then, Ms. Sims) mentioned they were doing an esthetics course, which included photographic makeup, Shelagh immideately called her father to get money, and started right away. After the 310 hours, she liked the industry so much that she took a week break, and then rejoined Indiana Cosmetology Acadamy which she graduated in June 2006.
